The Process

How we work

The best engineering decision on a project is made at the beginning.

Bringing us in at inception is where our experience earns the most. The grid, the floor system, the foundations are all still cheap to change, and that is the stage which decides whether a budget stacks up and whether what gets drawn can actually be built.

Timing does not always allow that, and plenty of projects reach us part way through. That is fine. We are glad to come in later, advise on what is already on the table, and give it a fresh look. The same experience applies whenever we arrive.

01 · Early Involvement

Get us involved early, working alongside the architect and geotechnical engineer. We give concise advice on the ground and how it will shape the foundations. It is the cheapest stage at which to find out a site will not do what you want.
